Description

We are a group of educators from around Oregon. The Oregon Ed Tech Professional Development Cadre is starting its 18th year. We we have four goals that transfer year to year:

  1. Providing forums for networking and ongoing collaborative work.

  2. Integrating proven and emerging technology effectively to support standards-based learning and teaching.

  3. Modeling and practicing effective instructional strategies.

  4. Focusing on exemplary professional learning to improve practice.

In September, we will be starting up a new year. Historically, about half of our people are returning and half new. This year, for the first time, our Fall days will center around field trips - to business and industry (why we are here!), to classrooms, and to notable local places (Capital, etc).

Last year's announcement page.

We are looking for 5-6 locations for our educators to visit on the morning of September 26, 2018. They need to be back to the Capital Mall by 11:30. Ideally, a host location would spend approximately 2 hours with the educators who come, be within a 40 minute drive of downtown Salem, and host between 3 and 8 educators. Details can be worked out ahead of time.

If the date and time or location preferences don't work for you, we are also recruiting for visits between October and March. Those can be anywhere around the state.

Looking forward to working with you!

Foundation skills that would be great for k-12 students could learn to prepare them for this type of work.

Share your passion for your work! Help us be passionate about what you do, too, so we can pass on your passion to our students.
